Shea Properties recently announced Willis Chin has been named Senior Vice President of Multifamily Acquisitions & Development.

In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of multifamily development for the Shea Properties’ California and Washington regions, including acquisitions, entitlement, planning and design, budgeting, and construction.

Willis has been with Shea Properties for a decade and brings extensive commercial real estate experience to this role, having managed the development and acquisition of more than 4,000 units across California and Washington, with total project costs of more than$1.4 billion.

Prior to joining Shea Properties, Willis led the acquisition and entitlement of senior housing sites for a family office investment company, and served as a senior associate for investment bank Houlihan Lokey advising companies on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and financings.

Willis received his Master’s in Real Estate Development (MRED) and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California, and Bachelor of Science from the University of California, San Diego where he surfed on the national championship surf team. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Multifamily Leadership Board.
