Acadia Apartments, a 250-unit luxury apartment community located in the city of Cypress developed by Shea Properties, was recently recognized with an IIDA Southern California 2025 Calibre Design Award.

Acadia Apartments interior design firm CDC Designs nominated the apartment community for the

Calibre Design Awards to honor exceptional achievements and design excellence in commercial interior design within Southern California and celebrate the collaborative teamwork effort essential for achieving remarkable design innovations. Acadia Apartments won in the multifamily category.

Acadia Apartments signature style features clean lines, quality finishes and versatile floor plan designs to create an elevated experience for residents.

With a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units that range in size from 737 square feet to 1,337 square feet, the apartments offer two contemporary interior finishes; wood-style flooring throughout the living area; an open concept kitchen and living room; premium quartz countertop and backsplash; and stainless-steel appliances.  Acadia features interconnected social and workspaces to create a unique community feeling. Amenities include indoor-outdoor social hub with TV viewing lounge, café and fully equipped kitchen; game room with TV viewing, foosball, shuffleboard and bar tables; poolside cabana lounge; fitness center with strength, conditioning and cardio equipment; and pet spa among many others.

The apartments are part of a mixed-use project featuring The Square, a neighborhood retail center with Trader Joe’s, BLK Dot Coffee, Board & Brew Specialty Sandwiches, El Zarape and more; as well as a 128-room Homewood Suites by Hilton. The project is centrally located in North Orange County, with nearby access to major freeways — 405, 605, 22 and 91.

Partners on the project included interior design by CDC Designs, architecture by AO Architects, and landscaping by Ground Level Landscape.
